Poinsettias

I must say, there's nothing like walking into our greenhouse this time of year...
Poinsettias as far as the eye can see! And not just red. They now come in white, pink, peach, marble (pink with a white edge) and my personal favorite (and rather hard to come by) the Jinglebell (red with white freckles). However, if you are a traditionalist, then red is the way to go. And the variety of sizes available.. we have teeny tiny 2" pots with tiny little poinsettias (just the sweetest thing you've ever seen and pretty perfect to use as place settings for your holiday dinner party) to poinsettias in the shape of trees! And new variety and size combinations come out every year... It's really something to see but don't take my word for it.... Stop by and see for yourself!
Hope to see you soon!!

T.G.I.F!

It's a beautifully chilly day here in Greenwich. In my opinion, a perfect October day. We finally have that crispness in the air that feels oh-so-autumn. Makes me think about Halloween (just around the corner) and picking out that perfect pumpkin. There's nothing like carving out a silly or scary jack-o-lantern face while waiting for the pumpkin seeds to toast. Yum!

The beginning of a new month and a new venture...

McArdle's has been "keeping the green in Greenwich" since 1910 and now we're putting ourselves out there on the world wide web.

Blogging is something we've noticed other florists and garden centers doing lately so we figure why not give it a try?

If you follow this blog you will be "in the know" about the latest in floral trends, something special we have in stock, gardening tips, and even upcoming sales!

Our website is currently under construction but will soon be up and running. www.mcardles.com

Thanks for checking us out!!
